Gary Anderson

One of the most successful and naturally talented darts players of the modern era is Gary “The Flying Scotsman” Anderson. The Scotsman is a two-time PDC World Champion and has won multiple Premier League titles and a host of major honours within the BDO and PDC. Developed in partnership with Unicorn Darts, this range includes Gary Anderson darts, dart flights, dart shafts, dart cases and accessories, all inspired by the equipment used by one of the games all time greats.

About Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson, known as ‘The Flying Scotsman’, is one of the most successful players in the modern era. The Scotsman has enjoyed a successful career in both the BDO and PDC, winning a host of major titles including two PDC World Championships and a Premier League crown.

Anderson has proven himself as one of the most naturally talented players to ever play the game, with his effortless throwing action and incredible scoring power. His capacity for heavy scoring and rapid runs of form means that he is never out of the reckoning, even when behind in a match.

Anderson has collaborated closely with Unicorn Darts since joining the brand in 2011 to create a range of signature steel tip darts and accessories, many of which have become fan favourites among players hoping to replicate the set up of one of darts' greatest competitors.

Off the oche, Anderson is an avid fisherman and often jokes that he would rather be on the water than playing darts. Interestingly, his introduction to darts came after running out of 50 pence pieces to play pool in a local pub and trying the dartboard instead. His easy going personality and honest approach have made him one of the most popular players in the game.

What Darts Does Gary Anderson Use?

Gary Anderson currently throws with his Unicorn Phase 6 darts. He has used variations of this barrel shape for a number of years, initially with his popular Phase 5 darts and now continuing with the Phase 6 range.

The consistent setup reflects Gary's trust in equipment that complements his smooth and effortless throwing action. The Phase 6 darts are available in more than five different weights to suit a variety of throwing styles, although Anderson himself uses the 23g version, a popular middle weight among players.

Gary’s darts are fitted with black Unicorn Volute dart points and his trademark tartan flights, a nod to his Scottish roots. Like many modern professionals, Gary does not use an integrated flight system like the Unicorn Forge and instead continues to use a traditional flight and shaft setup, demonstrating his confidence in the equipment that has helped make him one of the most successful players of the modern era.

Gary Anderson Darts and Accessories

This collection includes the complete range of Gary Anderson darts and accessories developed in conjunction with Unicorn Darts. The range features everything from Gary’s original Phase 1 models through to his current Phase 6 darts, allowing fans to follow the evolution of one of darts’ all time greats.

Whether you’re a beginner looking for brass darts or an experienced player searching for 90% tungsten darts, there is something for every standard of player. Alongside Gary Anderson darts, you will also find dart flights, shafts, dart cases, Volute points and official accessories inspired by the equipment used by The Flying Scotsman on the professional circuit.

Why Choose Gary Anderson Darts?

One of the greatest strengths of the Gary Anderson range is the variety available. Having worked closely with Unicorn Darts for more than a decade, Gary has developed several generations of signature darts designed to suit different throwing styles and player preferences.

Earlier models such as the Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4 darts feature a straight barrel profile, while the newer Phase 5 and Phase 6 darts incorporate a subtle concave shape with a natural finger reference point in the centre of the barrel.

This provides players with a wide range of barrel shapes, grip styles and balance points to choose from. Many of Gary’s darts are also available within the popular Noir range, featuring an eye catching black coating for a distinctive appearance.

Across the collection you will find clearly defined grip zones that help promote consistent finger placement and a repeatable throwing action. Combined with the wide range of weights and barrel profiles available, Gary Anderson darts remain a popular choice for players of all abilities.
